Cort Walter

Cort brings a diverse background in club operations, golf management, and hospitality from premier clubs across the United States and Caribbean. Originally from South Whitely, Indiana, Cort is a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Recreational Sport Management and a minor in Youth Sports. His career has taken him around the world, most recently serving as Head Golf Professional at the Ocean Course at Hokuala in Kauai, Hawaii. Prior to joining Dye’ Walk, he held leadership roles at North Sound Golf Club in Grand Cayman; Timarron Country Club and Trophy Club Country Club in Dallas; and Makai Golf Club in Kauai.

 

Cort is passionate about creating exceptional club experiences through servant leadership, collaboration, and continuous learning. He believes the strongest teams are built by working alongside one another, leading by example, and fostering an environment where employees feel empowered to grow and succeed. At Dye’s Walk, he is focused on cultivating meaningful relationships with members, guests, and staff while continuing to enhance the club’s culture and member experience. He takes great pride in serving the Dye’s Walk community and helping ensure the club remains a welcoming destination for families, friends, and golf enthusiasts alike.

 

Outside of the club, Cort is an avid sports fan who proudly cheers on the Hoosiers, Colts, Pacers and White Sox. He enjoys spending time on the golf course and wherever he can find water, whether its a quiet day on the lake or catching waves in the ocean. He’s also the proud owner of Cyclops, his one-eyed cat, loyal companion and travel partner, who made the journey with him from Kauai to Indiana. 

Kaleb Shewman, PGA

Kaleb grew up in Greenfield, Indiana where he attended Eastern Hancock High School, and later attended Ball State University where he graduated with a degree in Sport Administration. Kaleb is the Director of Golf and has been a proud member of the club’s professional staff for the past 10 years. With 15 years in the golf industry, Kaleb brings a strong focus on delivering an outstanding member experience through well-run tournaments, thoughtful programming, and a welcoming golf culture for players of all ages. He is a PGA Class A Professional and Golf Genius Tournament Software Certified, allowing him to provide organized, efficient, and enjoyable competitive opportunities throughout the season.

 

Kaleb is especially passionate about junior golf development and creating positive experiences that help young players build both skills and a lifelong love for the game. When he’s not at the club, Kaleb enjoys spending time with his wife, Katelyn, and their son, Palmer, and can usually be found watching sports with family and friends.

Gabe Larkey, PGA

Gabe grew up in Clifton New Jersey attending Clifton High School. He attended the University of Colorado Colorado Springs where he graduated with a degree in Marketing with a PGA Professional Golf Management emphasis. A recently elected PGA member, he is coming from Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club where his flexibility and attention to service helped him succeed while there for the last two seasons. Gabe lives on the north side of Indianapolis and is excited to be apart of the Dye’s Walk team.

Keegan Gray

Keegan grew up in Tipton County, Indiana and graduated from Tipton High School before attending Purdue University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Turf Science and Management in 2016. He has more than 10 years of experience in the golf course industry, beginning his career through internships at several of the nation’s premier clubs, including Medina Country Club, Chevy Chase Club, and the Ford Plantation.

 

After returning to Indiana, Keegan was the Superintendent at the Country Club of Indianapolis for 2 years before joining the team at Dye’s Walk. He has been the superintendent at Dye’s Walk for the past six years, in that time he has been focused on continually improving golf course conditions, implementing modern agronomic practices, and enhancing the overall member experience.

 

Keegan is a highly motivated professional with a strong passion for the golf course industry and a commitment to continuous improvement. He is a Class A member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and actively pursues continuing education to stay current with industry advancements and best management practices.

 

Outside of work, Keegan loves to golf, anything outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Keegan and his wife Alana are excited to be new parents as they welcome their first son Boden.

Derek Blackburn

I was born and raised in Stilesville, Indiana, a small town in the southwest corner of Hendricks county where I attended Cascade High School. I’m the youngest of four siblings with three older brothers. 9 years ago I turned my love for golf into career and haven’t looked back. In my spare time I enjoy playing golf, attending concerts and sporting events. I’m a huge Pacers, Hoosiers and Chicago Bears fan. I currently reside in Avon, Indiana. I’m excited to the team at Dyes Walk and look forward to the future.

Kirby Sutton

Kirby joins Dye’s Walk from Dallas, Texas, bringing more than a decade of experience in premier Country Club management. Her career includes leadership roles with Invited Clubs at Timarron Country Club, Las Colinas Country Club, and Gleneagles Country Club, where she consistently achieved exceptional member satisfaction, exceed sales goals by reaching over 100% of target year after years, and regularly outperformed budget expectations.

 

Kirby has a keen eye for detail and a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences. She is excited to become part of the Dye’s Walk team and looks forward to getting to know our members and staff. Her goal is to build lasting relationships while delivering outstanding service through both our membership experience and private events program.

 

In her time away from the club, Kirby is an avid foodie that enjoys finding the hidden gems in the local culinary world, she likes to enjoy her free time outside soaking up the sun, and diving into a good book by the pool. She is excited to be at Dye’s Walk, and looks forward to engaging with all members, guests and staff.

Jake Ward

Jake brings a strong background in hospitality and guest service, having worked in the industry since the age of 14. His experience includes leadership roles with Antilogy, Starbucks, and Napoli Villa, where he consistently demonstrated a commitment to operational excellence and team development.


During his tenure with Starbucks, Jake was recognized as Partner of the Quarter in 2023 for leading a retraining initiative that improved team performance and elevated the guest experience. His passion for hospitality, dedication to high standards, and collaborative leadership style make him an excellent addition to our management team.


Jake looks forward to working closely with our staff, leadership, and membership to continue enhancing the service and dining experience at Dye’s Walk.

Sandy Bennett

Sandy joined the Dye’s Walk team in February 2024 as the accounting manager. She brings to the company over 20 years’ experience in the accounting field, along with a very personable and good-natured attitude. Meticulous in her work, Sandy strives to exceed expectations and is committed to providing top-notch service to all members. She and her husband, Tony, are longtime residents of Whiteland.

Calvin Weber

A proud Greenwood, Indiana native, Calvin brings a deep-rooted passion for food and community to everything he does. With over 8 years of hands-on cooking experience, he has honed his craft through dedication, creativity, and a genuine love for bringing people together over great meals.
Calvin previously worked at Dye’s Walk and is excited to return—bringing both familiarity and a fresh perspective to the team. His time away only deepened his commitment to the values and vision that first drew him here.
When he’s not in the kitchen, Calvin enjoys spending time with his wife and their two young children, who are his biggest supporters and taste-testers. Whether it’s perfecting a new recipe or serving up comfort food favorites, his goal is always the same: to make every dish memorable.
